The 32nd Annual Casper Open Volleyball Tournament, hosted by the Casper Recreation Division, Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12, 2017, is expected to have a significant positive economic impact on Casper and the surrounding area.
This year's event will be featuring 138 men's and women's teams.
The field of teams includes 65 Casper-area teams and 73 out-of-county and out-of-state teams including those from South Dakota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Colorado, and Utah.
The impact of holding a tournament of this size in Casper is expected to boost the economy in excess of $135,000.
Tournament play begins on Saturday, November 11, at the following facilities: Casper Recreation Center, Natrona County High School, Dean Morgan Junior High School, Centennial Junior High School, Frontier Junior High School, YMCA, CY Junior High School, Casper College Liesinger Hall Gym, and Kelly Walsh High School. All teams participating are scheduled to play on Saturday and Sunday. Over the course of the weekend event, 597 matches are scheduled to be contested.
