Marella joined News 13 in May 2017.

Marella was born in Denver, Colorado but grew up in central Florida. She attended the University of South Florida where she majored in mass communications and international studies. Marella was a part of the schools PBS newscast, WUSF. She also interned for the Fox affiliate in Tampa, Fox 13. While in college she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, serving as the philanthropy chair and chapter president. Marella enjoys traveling, spending time with family, exercising and cooking... which don't always go hand in hand!
